3. Personal Protective Clothing (PPE)

Protective clothing is worn in fish and chip shops for 2 reasons:

• To protect the food from being contaminated by you, for example hairnets, hats, overalls, gloves and aprons

• To protect you from certain health and safety hazards. This clothing is called Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
